Simplifying and contrasting visual elements is a common denominator in my work. Continually stretching and exploring new ideas is my passion. Whether my projects are functional or strictly sculptural in form the questions "What if?" and What haven't I seen?" are always being asked. Between these two I find myself in a perpetual state of exploration.
Celeste's background is built on years of material explorations and education in both two and three-dimensional arts, home design, construction, and commercial graphics. She holds a B.A. in Studio Arts from Barat College, Lake Forest, IL. She has been an allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and an exhibiting member of the Association of Clay and Glass Artists of California (ACGA). Her work has been shown in galleries, catalogs, and retail stores around the country, and in shops at both the Hirshhorn Museum in D.C. and the L.A. Museum of Art in CA.
I was raised along with 5 army brat siblings. From a very young age, I enjoyed learning crafts and working with my hands. It was only natural for me to get a degree in art. I was fortunate to have opportunities to teach many of the skills I had learned. Out of necessity, I became skilled in construction work.
My life now is still full of exploration but my studio work is done in a very special place I call home.
